Autism assessment for Children (aged 2+) & Adults

Autism Assessment

Autism is a neurodevelopmental difference that influences communication, social understanding, thinking patterns, sensory experiences, and patterns of interest. Every autistic person has a unique profile.

Why Assessments Matter

What are the benefits of Autism Assessments

Assessments support a deeper understanding of strengths, needs, and preferences. This helps create environments that are predictable, supportive, and affirming. It also supports identity, belonging, and access to appropriate services, while reducing the risk of later mental health difficulties.

Autism assessment approach

How our autism assessments are different

We take a neuroaffirming, strengths-based approach, with extensive experience recognising diverse autistic presentations, including those shaped by masking, gender differences, and cultural context. We carefully consider overlapping factors such as anxiety or trauma to avoid misinterpretation. Our flexible model, including the option of home-based assessment, supports comfort and allows us to observe more natural interactions and behaviours.
